Tom Lamb - Player Bio
Tom Lamb, known affectionately as "lamby" among fans, is a former professional Australian rules footballer who left a lasting impact during his time with the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL). Born on October 19, 1996, Lamb inherited his talent from his father, Wayne Lamb, a former player for Melbourne and Fitzroy in the 1990s, and his grandfather, Ian Cooper, a key player in St Kilda's 1966 premiership victory. Lamb's journey to success began at the Edithvale-Aspendale Junior Football Club, where he honed his skills before making his mark with the Dandenong Stingrays in the TAC Cup. In 2014, he was selected as the 32nd pick in the national draft, paving the way for his entry into the AFL. Standing tall at 193 cm (6 ft 4 in) and weighing 82 kg (181 lb), Lamb made his presence felt on the field as a forward, showcasing his agility, speed, and scoring prowess. His three-year tenure with the West Coast Eagles from 2015 to 2017 solidified his reputation as a dynamic player with a knack for finding the back of the net. Although his professional career may have come to a close, Tom Lamb's contributions to the sport continue to inspire aspiring footballers and leave an indelible mark on the Australian football landscape.
