Scott Selwood, a former professional Australian rules footballer, has left an indelible mark on the Australian Football League (AFL) through his remarkable career with the West Coast Eagles and Geelong Football Club. Born on March 27, 1990, in Bendigo, Victoria, Selwood began his journey in the AFL after being drafted at No. 22 in the 2007 national draft. During his time with the West Coast Eagles from 2008 to 2015, Selwood showcased exceptional talent and dedication, earning himself the prestigious John Worsfold Medal in 2012. His leadership qualities were further highlighted when he served as one of the acting captains for the Eagles in the latter part of the 2014 season following the retirement of then-captain Darren Glass. In 2016, Selwood made a move to the Geelong Football Club via free agency, where he played alongside his brother and former Geelong captain, Joel Selwood, for four more seasons. His versatility as a midfielder contributed significantly to the team's success during his time with the club. Although now playing senior football with the Ivanhoe Amateur Football Club, Selwood continues to impart his knowledge and expertise as an assistant coach at the Collingwood Football Club.
