Scott Jones, a towering figure standing at 205 cm, is a formidable Ruckman who has left a mark on the Australian Football League (AFL) with his resilience and determination. Born on 20 May 1995, Jones hails from the town of Busselton but found his calling in Perth, where he honed his skills playing for East Perth in the West Australian Football League (WAFL). Despite facing numerous setbacks in the form of injuries, including a broken leg, broken foot, and a dislocated AC joint, Jones persevered and continued to pursue his passion for the game. His tenacity paid off when he was selected by the Fremantle Football Club as the 75th overall pick in the 2017 AFL national draft. Jones made his much-anticipated AFL debut for Fremantle in round 11 of the 2018 AFL season, showcasing his prowess on the field alongside fellow debutant Stefan Giro. Although his time at Fremantle came to an end after the 2019 season, Jones did not let this setback deter him. He returned to East Perth for the 2020 WAFL season, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to the sport he loves.
