Paul Ahern - Player Bio
Australian Football fans have witnessed the journey of Paul Ahern, a talented midfielder who has shown resilience and determination throughout his career. Born on August 1, 1996, Ahern began his professional Australian Rules Football career with the Greater Western Sydney Giants after being selected as the seventh overall pick in the 2014 national draft. Despite facing setbacks in the form of injuries, including two knee reconstructions during his time with the Giants, Ahern's passion for the game never wavered. In 2016, he made a move to the North Melbourne Football Club during the trade period, seeking a fresh start and new opportunities to showcase his skills on the field. It wasn't until round eleven of the 2018 season that Ahern finally made his debut for North Melbourne, marking a significant milestone in his career. His perseverance paid off as he played a pivotal role in the team's victory against Brisbane, demonstrating his versatility and agility as a midfielder. After contributing to North Melbourne for three seasons, Ahern faced a new chapter in his career when he was delisted by the club at the end of the 2020 AFL season. However, his passion for the sport remained unwavering, leading him to join the Northern Bullants in the Victorian Football League (VFL) in May 2021. Paul Ahern's story serves as an inspiration to aspiring athletes, emphasizing the importance of resilience, hard work, and dedication in overcoming challenges and pursuing one's passion for Australian Football.
