Michael Pettigrew - Player Bio
Michael Pettigrew, a seasoned Australian rules football player, made his mark in the Australian Football League (AFL) with the Port Adelaide Football Club. Hailing from Western Australia, Pettigrew honed his skills playing junior football for the Whitford Wildcats before being drafted by Port Adelaide at number 46 in the 2003 National Draft. In 2004, just after celebrating his nineteenth birthday, Pettigrew proudly donned the Port Adelaide colors for his debut AFL game. Over the next eight years, he showcased his talent and dedication, reaching a significant milestone by playing his 100th AFL game in Round 13 of the 2011 season against West Coast. By the end of the 2011 season, Pettigrew had amassed an impressive total of 103 games in his AFL career. Following his time with Port Adelaide, Pettigrew returned to his roots in Western Australia, joining the West Perth Football Club for the 2012 and 2013 West Australian Football League seasons. Standing tall at 193 cm (6 ft 4 in) and weighing in at 92 kg (203 lb), Pettigrew's prowess as a defender left a lasting impact on the teams he represented throughout his career.
