Marco Paparone, affectionately known as "Paps," is a former Australian rules footballer who left a mark during his time with the Brisbane Lions in the Australian Football League (AFL). Born on September 3, 1994, Paparone's journey in the AFL kicked off when he was drafted by the Brisbane Lions as the twenty-third overall pick in the 2012 national draft. Before making his mark in the AFL, Paparone honed his skills with the East Fremantle Football Club in the West Australian Football League. Standing tall at 194 cm (6 ft 4 in) and weighing in at 91 kg (201 lb), Paparone's versatility on the field earned him the position of utility player. His debut match for the Brisbane Lions took place in round 4 of the 2013 season, where the team faced North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium, despite a challenging sixty-three point loss.
