Luke Lowden, affectionately known as "Sticks," is a retired Australian rules footballer who made his mark playing for the Hawthorn Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). With a towering height of 206 cm (6 ft 9 in) and weighing in at 103 kg (227 lb), Lowden dominated the field as a versatile player in the positions of ruckman and key forward. Hailing from Dookie United, Wunghnu, and Shepparton, Lowden's talent was recognized early on, leading him to Caulfield Grammar School and eventually to the Sandringham Dragons in the TAC Cup. In 2008, Hawthorn secured Lowden with pick 63 in the national draft, setting the stage for his impressive career in professional football. Lowden's AFL debut came in Round 12 of the 2014 season, showcasing his skills and proving his worth on the field. Despite his success at Hawthorn, he later joined the Adelaide Football Club, adding depth and experience to their roster from 2015 to 2016.
