Kyle Reimers - Player Bio
Kyle Reimers, a former Australian rules footballer, made his mark on the field during his time with Essendon in the AFL. Hailing from Peel Thunder in the WAFL, Reimers entered the AFL scene after being selected as pick number 47 in the 2006 AFL Draft. His talent was evident early on as he represented Western Australia in both the 2005 U-16 Championships and the 2006 U-18 Championships. Wearing the number 37 guernsey, Reimers quickly became a fan favorite for Essendon supporters with his distinctive bright orange boots and aggressive playing style. His breakout year came in 2008, earning him the club rising star award following a NAB AFL Rising Star Nomination in round 16 against Richmond. One of the highlights of his career was his remarkable performance in Round 6 of 2011, where he astoundingly kicked eight goals in Essendon's dominant 139-point victory over the Gold Coast Suns. Despite his undeniable talent and contributions to the team, Reimers was eventually de-listed by Essendon at the conclusion of the 2012 season. He declined an opportunity to train with Carlton in 2013, choosing to pursue other endeavors. Throughout his career, Reimers showcased his skills as a forward, leaving a lasting impression on the fans and the football community.
