Harrison Macreadie - Player Bio
Harrison Macreadie, a former professional Australian rules footballer, showcased his skills primarily as a defender and midfielder during his time with the Carlton Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Born on April 11, 1998, Macreadie's journey in the AFL began when he was drafted by Carlton in the 2016 national draft as the 47th overall pick after playing as an academy player with Greater Western Sydney (GWS). Making his debut in the opening round of the 2017 season against Richmond at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Macreadie displayed his versatility by stepping in for the injured Jed Lamb. Throughout his four seasons with Carlton, he demonstrated promise, playing a total of eight games in his debut season. However, his time at the club was marred by injuries, limiting his senior appearances to just one game in 2019. Standing tall at 198 cm (6 ft 6 in) and weighing 92 kg (203 lb), Macreadie's athleticism and defensive prowess added value to Carlton's lineup. Despite facing challenges with injuries, his contributions on the field did not go unnoticed. After being delisted at the conclusion of the 2020 season, Macreadie's time with Carlton came to an end. Though his AFL journey had its ups and downs, his dedication to the sport and his team left a lasting impression on fans and teammates alike.
