Hailing from a footballing family, with his father Mark Brayshaw being a former North Melbourne player and his brothers Andrew and Angus Brayshaw also making their mark in the sport, Hamish has football in his blood. He honed his skills playing junior football with the Hampton Rovers Football Club and representing Haileybury College. Despite facing setbacks like being delisted by the Eagles at the end of the 2019 and 2020 AFL seasons, Brayshaw's determination and passion for the game shone through.
