Cory Gregson - Player Bio
Cory Gregson, a talented Australian rules footballer, began his journey in the sport when he was drafted by the Geelong Football Club with pick 47 in the 2014 AFL Draft. Making his debut in the opening round of the 2015 AFL season against Hawthorn, Gregson quickly showcased his skills and potential on the field. Hailing from Sacred Heart College, Gregson faced a minor setback in 2013 when he was unable to debut for the Glenelg Football Club due to school commitments. Despite this, his determination and passion for the game never wavered. In a standout performance during Round 6 of the 2015 season, Gregson's exceptional display earned him a nomination for the prestigious 2015 AFL Rising Star award. With 18 disposals and 3 goals against Collingwood, he proved to be a valuable asset to his team. After facing challenges with his fitness and foot injury, Gregson was unfortunately delisted at the conclusion of the 2018 season. However, he did not let this setback deter him, as he made a strong comeback in 2019 by rejoining Glenelg in the SANFL. Notably, Gregson played a pivotal role in Glenelg's victorious 2019 SANFL Grand Final campaign, showcasing his resilience and determination to succeed in the sport he is truly passionate about. Despite the ups and downs, Cory Gregson's unwavering commitment to Australian football is truly commendable.
