Chris Tarrant - Player Bio
Chris Tarrant, commonly known as "Taz" or "Tazza," was born on September 18, 1980, in Mildura, Victoria. He began his Australian Rules football journey with the Bendigo Pioneers in the TAC Cup before being drafted by Collingwood as the 8th pick in the 1997 National Draft. During his career, Tarrant showcased his versatility by excelling in different positions. Initially making a name for himself as a key forward at Collingwood, he later transitioned to a new role in the backline after joining Fremantle in 2007. His adaptability and skill set allowed him to thrive in both positions on the field. Standing tall at 193 cm (6 ft 4 in) and weighing 94 kg (207 lb), Tarrant possessed exceptional athleticism, pace, and a knack for taking spectacular high marks. His on-field presence and ability to impact games made him a valuable asset to both Collingwood and Fremantle during his time with the clubs. After announcing his return to Melbourne for personal reasons at the end of the 2010 AFL season, Tarrant made a comeback to Collingwood through a trade. His contributions to the teams he played for and his remarkable skills on the field have left a lasting impression on Australian Football fans.
