Brad Green - Player Bio
Brad Green, a former Australian rules football player, has left an indelible mark on the sport with his remarkable career. Born on March 13, 1981, Green began his journey in the Australian Football League (AFL) after being drafted as the 19th selection in the 1999 AFL Draft. During his 13 seasons with the Melbourne Football Club, Green showcased his talent and dedication to the game. In his debut season, he played in a losing Grand Final, setting the stage for an illustrious career ahead. In 2010, Green's exceptional performance earned him the club's best and fairest award, along with the title of the club's leading goalkicker. Despite his outstanding achievements, Green narrowly missed out on All-Australian selection, a testament to his exceptional skill on the field. In addition to his contributions at Melbourne, Green also represented the Australian International rules football team in 2004, 2010, and 2011, even captaining the side in 2011. After retiring from playing, Green transitioned into coaching, serving as an assistant coach at North Melbourne and previously at the Carlton Football Club from 2013 to 2015. Currently, he holds the position of North Melbourne development coach, continuing to inspire and mentor the next generation of football talent.
