Blaine Boekhorst - Player Bio
Blaine Boekhorst, a talented Australian rules footballer, has left a mark in the Australian Football League (AFL) with his exceptional skills. Born on 2 September 1993, Boekhorst hails from Port Hedland in northern Western Australia. He began his football journey playing for Swan Districts in the West Australian Football League, where he showcased his potential and quickly climbed the ranks to secure a spot in the senior team in 2014. Boekhorst's hard work and dedication paid off when he was drafted by Carlton in the 2014 National Draft as the 19th overall pick. Making his senior debut in Round 4 of the 2015 season against St Kilda, he demonstrated his prowess as a midfielder on the field. Over his career, he played a total of 44 games for Swan Districts before transitioning to the AFL. Despite his contributions to Carlton, the club decided not to renew his contract after the 2017 season. However, this setback did not deter Boekhorst, as he continued his football journey with East Fremantle, where he currently plays wearing the number 9 jersey. Standing tall at 184 cm (6 ft 0 in) and weighing 75 kg (165 lb), Boekhorst's agility and strategic gameplay make him a valuable asset to any team he represents. With his experience and skills, he remains a player to watch in the Australian football scene.
