Adam Murray Selwood, a former Australian rules footballer, made a significant impact during his time with the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL). Hailing from Bendigo, Victoria, Selwood began his football journey playing under-18 football for the Bendigo Pioneers in the TAC Cup before catching the eye of the West Coast Eagles, who drafted him in the third round of the 2002 National Draft. Debuting for West Coast in 2003, Selwood quickly showcased his talent and versatility on the field, earning a nomination for the AFL Rising Star in 2005. Known for his ability to seamlessly transition between midfield and defensive positions, Selwood played a crucial role in West Coast's 2006 premiership victory over Sydney. Selwood's skills were not limited to the AFL, as he also represented Australia in the 2008 International Rules Series against Ireland, further solidifying his reputation as a top-tier player. After a successful career spanning a decade, Selwood retired at the conclusion of the 2013 season, leaving behind a legacy of 187 games played for the West Coast Eagles.
